Candles by Victoria March order review

I was very excited to get this order.  Well, I'm always excited to get a CBV order :)  I'm usually a bakery fan, but I was in the mood for something more summery, so I ordered a bunch of fruity and tropical scents that I had never tried before (ok, I got a few bakery too).  I believe I had 37 scents that were new to me. I was also super excited to try the Love Potion No 9 massage candle and soap.  At the time that I  placed this order, Melissa wasn't shipping her soaps to Canada, and I was really wanting to try them.  My nose is terrible at picking up individual fruit scents, but I'll try my best. So, here's what I got

Pink cupcake (reorder for about the 8th time)

This has become my number one favorite scent, and I use it a lot as a mixer.  It was my first jar of crumb melts, and I'm really glad I got it.  It comes full to the brim with chopped up scent shots, and has a cute little wooden scoop.  Pink cupcake is a funfetti frosted cupcake scent, light on the cake, heavier in the frosting.  So yummy!

Coconut Cream Pie (reorder)

This is my number 2 favorite scent, it's a very creamy coconut without a crust scent, like a coconut cream pie filling.  I love this mixed with pink cupcake to make frosted coconut cupcakes.  Scoop some scent is a soft whipped wax that also comes with the cute wooden scoop.  It melts very fast, and at a lower temperature.

Love Potion No 9 Massage Lotion Candle $17.50

This candle is made of different oils and butters instead of wax.  This scent is only available in the candle and soap unfortunately.  I would definitely buy it in a large candle if I could.  It's a gorgeous fruity vanilla scent, similar to Best Friends, very soft and girly scent.  I disnt burn this one for very long, just enough to get a little melt pool going, then I blew it out and rubbed the oils into my skin.  It's not at all greasy, it sinks in after about 2 minutes and leave the most gorgeous scent on your skin.  I usually do this before bed, and my pajamas always smell awesome :)

Love Potion No 9 soap $5.50

This is the first of Melissa's soaps that I've tried.  When I opened it, I couldn't stop but pick it up and smell it all day long.  It's gorgeous, same scent as the candle.  It lathers well, I've since ordered a bunch of more soaps ( post to come on that soon)

Mango Tango

This is a dupe of Gain Apple Mango Tango, my favorite detergent.  It's pretty much an exact dupe, very fresh and fruity.  It doesn't smell like a detergent, it just has all the notes from the detergent.  Very nice in the spring.
The throw on this is crazy strong!  Please excuse the part of a hair elastic in the following pictures :)

Pineapple Mango

I bought this because I loved my friends pineapple mango candle from BBW, but she said she couldn't really smell it when it was burning (big surprise lol).  This one is heavy on the pineapple, I don't really get much mango at all, but it's still really nice, a fresh pineapple scent.

Bella Swan (reorder)

I am always surprised at how much I love this scent, as it's not my typical type of scent.  First, it's a gorgeous lavender color, so pretty.  It's a very feminine scent, a little powdery, a little floral, a little grapey.  It's so nice.  I have a soap in this scent too (my soaps came, yay!) that I haven't tried, but I'm definitely getting a perfume in this when its available. Absolutely amazing!  Also when I melted my s shot in this, just the tiniest bit (about the size of an almond) scented my whole upstairs and I could still smell it the nest day!  After melting my candle, I think it needs more cure time.  The throw was light, but still really nice.

Best Friends

This is a gorgeous scent, like berries mixed with cream and vanilla.  I haven't melted this yet, but I know it's going to be awesome.

Champagne pomegranate

This is pomegranate mixed with fizzy pop.  It smells like a pomegranate ginger ale that my daughter loves, very fizzy smelling.

Kimono Silk

This is a perfumy fruity scent.  I get peach, grapefruit, rose.  It's a very nice bedroom scent.

Neroli Blossom

This one is slightly orangey, slightly floral.  I'm not a floral fan at all, so this was just ok to me.  I may give it to a friend who loves it.

Fresh Laundry

This smells just like Ya**ee's Clean Cotton.  It's very strong on cold throw.  It's a nice, clean, fresh, sort of dryer sheet type of smell. 

White Nectarine and Pink Coral

This one smells like Pantene shampoo.  It's a very nice, clean, slightly perfumey smell, would be very nice in a bathroom.

Coconut Mandarin
Not so crazy about this one.  I get the coconut and I get the mandarin, but the coconut is sort of a suntan lotion type of coconut.  It's good, just not a favorite.

Blushing Peaches
Love this one!  Strawberry and peach.  Hopefully the vanilla will come out once it's been melted.  edit-melted this today.  Didn't get the vanilla, but it was amazing!!!

Cotton Candy
This one smells just like pink cotton candy with a candy strawberry scent in the background.

Fig Lychee
This smells just like sweet tarts candy to me, and they happen to be my favorite candy, so YUM!

Fizzy Pop
Holy moley, I had heard people talk about how you can smell the bubbles, and you really can, it's crazy!  It's just like ginger ale, and it's a great mixer with fruit scents that I find to be a little too strong.

Grapefruit Blackberry
This is the one that I couldn't stop smelling when I got it.  It's very tart and juicy, it's amazing!  If you have daughters-it smells like strawberry shortcakes friend Plum Pudding :)

Lemon Meringue Pie
This is exactly what lemon meringue pie smells like.  You get the crust, the filling and a bit of the meringue.  It's not a fake lemon at all. Very yummy.

Peaches and Cream
This is really strong when you melt it.  I don't really get the cream, it's just a nice candy peach scent.

Tropical Temptation
This is definitely a tropical scent.  It's hard to pick out any one note that stands out.  I get mango or papaya, a little coconut, but there's more than that.  Can't wait to melt this one.

Raspberry Zinger
This one is really strong, but I find all of Victoria's raspberry scents to be strong.  It's mixed with lime, and I get both scents equally.  My friend said she could smell this as soon as I opened my front door.

St. Barts
A coconut pineapple piña Colada type of scent.  Very beachy.

Tropical Cooler
I don't really know what I'm smelling in this.  It's definitely tropical with lots of different fruits, but like I said, my nose doesn't distinguish fruits very well.  Victoria's scent description says that this is a very soothing scent, and I'd have to agree.  It's not one of those really juicy scents, there may be some vanilla in here to mellow it all out.

Bermuda Triangle
This one is really nice. I get some melon, lime, a bit of the candy scent that I got from Fig Lychee.

Pomegranate & Mango
This reminds me of Mango Sorbet.  On cold throw its not that strong, but it blew me away when melted.  Very juicy, you get the mango and pomegranate equally.  I had to turn this one off after half an hour it was so strong, but in a good way :). I may mix this one with Fizzy Pop.

Mango Tangerine
To me, this smells just like orange flavored Kool Aid crystals. It's really nice, kind of a mellow fruit scent.

Morning In Madrid
I'm not sure about this one, but I haven't melted it yet.  I get a strong orange oil scent, like from orange rind.  It seems pretty tart, it's definitely a complex scent.

Tropical Kisses
I smell a bit of a green note, some strawberry, peach, apple peel.  Smells very juicy.

Vanilla Grapefruit
I get a little grapefruit in this, but mostly it smells like that soft plastic used to make dolls or my little ponies lol!  But, I haven't melted it yet, so it will probably smell different on warm throw.

Bergamot and Herbal Mint
This one really surprised me.  I ordered it mainly because Sabrina loves it so much.  I don't really know what bergamot is supposed to smell like, but this is a light minty smell, it's very relaxing, would be a good spa scent.

Coco Beach Baby Peach
Coconut and peach, awesome!  The peach is a little stronger than the coconut on cold throw.

Coco Mango
Very similar to Coco Beach Baby Peach, but less juicy.

Raspberry Guava
This is another strong raspberry scent.  The guava makes it even juicier. Very strong when melted.

Georgia Peach
This is pretty close to a fresh peach, which is what I was hoping for.

Star Fruit & Mango
This smells just like Victoria's Fruit Salad scent to me.  Smells like a fake fruit scent, not a fan.

Pink Noel
This is Pink Cupcake mixed with Vanilla Bean Noel.  I'm not the biggest fan of VBN, but since I love Pink Cupcake, I had to try it.  On cold, it smells just like the 2 mixed, you can smell both equally.  I'll update once I've melted it.

Bite Me
This is nice!  I get lime, cherry, a fizzy pop type of smell, but I don't think that's actually in here, some strawberry.  Very nice.

Get Me S'more
On cold throw, all I get is the chocolate.  It smells delicious.

Marshmallow Campfire
This is a slightly perfumey marshmallow scent, I don't get any campfire, which is good.  This one is in Fluffer Nutter, which is one of my favorites.  It's really good.

Sugared Corn Pudding (reorder)
I have this in a candle, and love it.  It's just like the golden edges of a baking cookie, no corn smell to my nose.  Delicious!

Birds of Paradise (free ss)
I never would have ordered this, but it's one of my favorites from the order.  Strawberries and cream, delicious :). Not too heavy on the strawberry on cold throw.
